I came across Babymetal in January, 2016, thinking "Youtubers react to Babymetal" was about actual BABIES playing instruments - so I checked it out and when I saw "Gimme Choco" I was blown away at the sound, set, performance, and production value - WOW!
Like so many other people, I became curious about the background of these girls, and quickly became absorbed with Sakura Gakuin (which I like more than BM now).
Please note that before this I had never ever heard of "Idol" music, and as we don't have anything even remotely close to what SG produces (not just Canada, but the U.S., too) - it's a very refreshing and captivating entertainment - one could say even 'wholesome'.
"Ai-ai-ai-aiii!" - Wow! That is so, so catchy it's addictive! And the chorus part where Ayami and Airi wag their fingers at the audience before Ayaka cues again - epic!
What a truly awesome song - I really mean that (and it's not remotely my type of music - I just love the sound and how it is performed - I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SAYING!).
You should have promoted the hell out of this song - every nightclub in the world would have been playing it.
Thank you for such a great, wonderful, and refreshing program. I only wish it could be on TV here in North America - you have many fans here!
